The last 3 years have brought the biggest challenges for the energy industry. We had a perfect crisis – sanitary, economic, and geopolitical – that affected us. There are challenges, and their effects, that we are still facing, not only within the company, but also at the level of the entire market. We are proud that through the extraordinary efforts we made as a dedicated and motivated team, together with an efficient and healthy management, with a focus on results, we managed to overcome the difficult situations we found ourselves in, and even more, to perform”, said Mihaela Suciu, DEER General Manager.
DEER is a national leader in electricity distribution, and serves approximately 3.93 million users, in 18 counties, covering 40.7 percent of Romania’s territory.
“We have undertaken and continue to make investments of over 100 million euros annually, representing our own sources, from the distribution tariffs, but also important financing from other sources, for the modernization of the networks and their transformation into intelligent networks. We are champions in accessing European funds! Until now, we have signed 13 financing contracts, worth 333 million euros, of which 259 million euros are non-refundable, which we invest in the modernization and development of the network, digitalization, and efficiency of business processes, in order to offer high quality services to our users”.
