NN health insurance solutions covered claims of about 40 million euro for medical situations faced by Romanians in the past eight years

NN Asigurari de Viata covered medical expenses and paid claims to health insurance customers totaling approximately 40 million euro from 2016 to date.

In addition to concerns about accessing the needed medical services, an accident or a health problem can also lead to financial worries on account of the unforeseen costs that many families in Romania cannot always cover without difficulties.

Romania remains one of the European countries with a significant protection deficit, with an average family needing 132,000 RON more than its available financial resources to cover expenses in an unexpected situation and maintain its standard of living, according UNSAR data. Health insurance helps reduce the deficit by covering medical expenses or providing clients with an amount of money they can use any way they need when they face a health problem.
