Telekom Romania Mobile posts total revenues of 66.2 million euros, down 4.1 percent in Q1
Telekom Romania Mobile recorded total revenues of EUR 66.2 million in the first quarter of 2024, down 4.1 percent compared to the same period in 2023. Mobile service revenues were impacted by customer-retention promotions in prior periods and an additional 50 percent MTR cut has been implemented as of the beginning of 2024. Other revenues were up in the quarter, mainly reflecting higher handset sales.
Telekom Romania Mobile recorded 1.931 million Post paid subscribers at the end of the first quarter of 2024, up 4.0 percent compared with the same period of last year, continuing the trend of subscribers’ base growth since Q4 2020. In the same period, the total customer base stood at 3.660 million subscribers, down 9.9 percent as compared to same period last year, driven by the contraction of the prepaid base.
Adjusted EBITDA (AL) was EUR 2.8 million, which is -0.7 million lower, as compared to same period previous year, mainly due to pressure triggered by the market conditions.
