E.ON Energie Romania, the Sustainability Partner of the Via Transilvanica project, launches a new challenge to its customers and rewards them for every step taken along this route, giving them a discount of 6 lei/kilometer on their bill.
To participate in the campaign, it is necessary to select the Green Steps option in the E.ON Myline application where the steps taken on Via Transilvanica are recorded. E.ON Solar Home, E.ON Life, E.ON Cool and E.ON Green Home are the energy-efficient solutions that bring reductions to the bill for customers who cross Via Transilvanica.
“We want to help our customers adopt a sustainable lifestyle and that’s why we continue to support this project by maintaining the landscaped route. Through the partnership with Via Transilvanica, we offer our customers to return to nature, to the community, and we reward them for it, because they are the promoters of energy efficiency. Practically, the E.ON solutions they opted for have the advantage of reduced energy consumption, so lower bills, but also the possibility of producing and consuming energy from renewable sources”, says Claudia Griech, general director of E.ON Energie Romania .
“We are delighted with this initiative of our partner, which comes nine months after 200 employees of the E.ON Group achieved a first for companies in Romania, crossing Via Transilvanica along its entire length. We are very happy with the way the partnership with E.ON is developing, which supported us in the development of 200 km of the over 1,400 km of the route. In addition, with their help we manage to make energy consumption more efficient, by installing photovoltaic panels in the Tășuleasa Social campus, which is also a stopping place for hikers on the route. We complement each other in initiatives that mean a lot for the development of local communities and we are proud to walk together on the path of sustainability”, says Alin Useriu, president of the Tășuleasa Social association, initiator of the Via Transilvanica project.
