Cotiso Lascu, Engie Romania: “We expect the national charging infrastructure to be standardized soon”
“We are one of the most important players that develop networks of charging stations for electric cars. We expect the national charging infrastructure to be standardized soon.
We started installing charging stations from 2018-2019, we have partnerships with Mercedes-Benz, Mazda and Ford for the end-user area, but at the same time we also have a business model for the B2B segment through which we ensure investments in equipment in our locations or of the partners,” Cotiso Lascu, Head of Office Low Carbon & Green Mobility Solutions, Engie Romania said during Green Mobility Forum organized by The Diplomat-Bucharest and Automotive Today.
“In the last 2 years we have also built the architecture of a back-end platform through which we can have all our infrastructure and at the same time launch an electromobility application to the client.”
ENGIE Romania and Ford Romania Services have recently signed a strategic partnership at the national level, which encourages the use of electric cars and promotes electric mobility, at the same time facilitating the provision of charging stations for their use at home.
Through this collaboration, ENGIE Romania offers Ford customers who purchase electric or plug-in hybrid cars the opportunity to choose one of the models of charging stations provided by reliable partners.
Compatible with any type of electric car or plug-in hybrid, the charging stations are available in versions with charging power of 7.4 or 22 kW. Thus, charging a car can be done up to 8 times faster compared to the time required to charge at a regular socket, while more personalized functionalities are also available, such as integration – in the case of smart home – with an application dedicated to the management of the charger or adapting energy consumption for optimal charging.
