Delgaz Grid launches app dedicated to smart metering customers
Delgaz Grid has developed a new application that helps users of the distribution system (customers and suppliers) to efficiently manage their electricity consumption, having much faster and easier access to various energy measurement information and reports. This functionality covers over 300,000 smart meters, which represents 20 percent of the total consumption places in the Delgaz Grid portfolio.
The application is available on the https://delgaz.ro portal, and its use is made by logging in with the customer or supplier account (if there is no account, then one must be created) and accessing the “Measured reports” section from the main menu of the portal. Once logged in, users can add a new report request in a few simple steps.
Cristian Secoșan, General Manager of Delgaz Grid: “The digitalization and automation of networks is an important component of our development strategy and the transition to an intelligent distribution system. We set out to install smart metering in 85 percent of consumers by 2029, and this application naturally supports those who want better management of energy consumption and related costs”.
Delgaz Grid currently has around 425,000 Smart meters installed, of which over 300,000 are integrated into a smart metering system.
In the following years, another approximately 900,000 smart meters will be installed as a result of two ongoing projects with financing from the Modernization Fund, in a total amount of approximately 626 million RON, of which approximately 433 million RON represent the non-refundable financing.
