Rețele Electrice Muntenia launches tender worth 445 million RON for the modernization and maintenance of networks in Ilfov and Giurgiu
Rețele Electrice Muntenia launched a public tender on SEAP platform, worth over 445 million RON, for the design and execution of maintenance and modernization works of the medium and low voltage networks in Ilfov and Giurgiu counties. This approach aims to optimize the energy infrastructure by increasing the safety, resilience and efficiency of distribution networks in these regions.
„Through this tender, we aim to secure strong partnerships with contractors that meet our needs for safe and efficient construction and operation of electricity networks. Maintenance and modernization works are essential to ensure a stable and efficient grid that is resilient and able to cope with the increasingly complex challenges in the energy sector.” stated Mihai Pește, General Manager of Rețele Electrice companies in Romania.
The works included in the projects aim to modernize and extend the overhead and underground low-voltage networks, increase distribution capacity, improve voltage levels in existing networks and modernize transformer substations and other network components.
Rețele Electrice companies operate networks with a total length of approximately 134,000 kilometers in three important areas of the country: South Muntenia (including Bucharest), Banat and Dobrogea, covering a third of the local distribution market, and are developing an investment program to improve quality services, safety and performance of networks and local implementation of environmental standards of the PPC group. The electrical networks operated by the three companies Rețele Electrice count 289 transformer stations and over 25,000 transformer stations.
