ROCA Industry completes merger between Eco Euro Doors and Workshop Doors
ROCA Industry announces that today the Mureș Trade Register approved the merger between Eco Euro Doors and Workshop Doors, wholly owned subsidiaries of the company. This marked the final step in the entire merger process between the two subsidiaries, the merged company’s name being Veltadoors.
The merger between Workshop Doors and Eco Euro Doors, the two largest Romanian producers of interior doors for residential construction, represents an additional step in achieving the company’s plans, creating a stronger player on the Romanian interior door market, with objectives to become a regional leader.
Additional to the synergies generated which have already achieved significant savings in 2024, the Company’s management is evaluating optimization solutions in logistics, given that both Workshop Doors factories and the Eco Euro Doors factory are located close to each other: two in Reghin, and the third in Petelea, just 6 km from Reghin.
In October, ROCA Industry, the industrial holding for construction materials majority-owned by private equity firm ROCA Investments, announced the full acquisition of Workshop Doors through the purchase of an additional 30 percent stake in the company’s share capital. The company entered ROCA Industry’s portfolio in February 2024 with the acquisition of the initial 70 percent stake.
Workshop Doors is the second largest manufacturer in the interior door market in the region, with two production facilities in Reghin and Petelea. It was ROCA Industry’s second investment in this market, the first being Eco Euro Doors, the largest Romanian manufacturer of doors for residential construction, fully acquired by ROCA Industry in 2022.
