PPC Group’s supply companies in Romania have merged
The companies PPC Energie and PPC Energie Muntenia, part of the PPC Group in Romania, have merged as of December 31, 2024. This merger marks an important step in the strategy of the PPC group of companies in Romania, with the aim of streamlining the electricity and natural gas supply business, reducing the impact of the volatility of the Romanian energy market and improving strategic flexibility so that customers benefit from quality services at competitive costs.

The merger allows us to offer value-added services such as advanced energy solutions and personalized support, while ensuring superior quality and accessibility in all interactions with our customers”, stated Ionut Dună, Director General PPC Energie.
Between December 30, 2024 and January 5, 2025, some services offered by PPC Energy, including the MyPPC app, will be temporarily unavailable to ensure that information systems are updated for the purpose of the merger. On December 30, 31 and January 3, call center operators will be able to take customer enquiries.
During this period, payments can only be made through banking partners or bank transfer, respectively through self-pay ATMs for customers who prefer cash payment, but will be recorded by PPC Energie from January 8, 2025.
After the merger, PPC Energie Muntenia SA’s supply contract and customers’ bills will be managed by PPC Energie S.A., without any other changes. All rights and obligations under the current contract remain the same. PPC Energie customers will also continue to have access to the same essential services and functionalities through the online platform www.PPCEnergy.rothe web application myppc.ppcenergy.ro and the mobile applications myPPC. MyPPC allows personal account management, bill payment and index registration. Customers can also access competitive offers for electricity and natural gas as well as advanced energy solutions, including photovoltaic systems and energy-efficient equipment.
For assistance, customers can contact the PPC Energie team on 021.9977, which can be reached from Romania and abroad, Monday to Friday, between 8:00 and 20:00, except public holidays. This number can also be used to request information about bills, balances or contracts, and customers can activate services such as e-billing. Written requests can be sent to contact-energie@ppcgroup.com.
As before, payments can be made online, by direct debit or bank transfer, or from the myPPC app.
For customers who prefer to pay in cash, there are self-pay ATMs located in PPC Energie stores in Bucharest and ten counties (Arad, Caras-Severin, Calarasi, Constanta, Giurgiu, Hunedoara, Ialomita, Ilfov, Timis and Tulcea), as well as in the Profi, Auchan, Mega Image, Carrefour, Kaufland and other grocery stores. As a novelty, a POS payment solution has been implemented in most of the PPC Energie stores in order to meet the needs of customers who want to be able to pay their bill directly in the stores.
