Patria Credit IFN reported a net profit of 8.3 million lei, up 3 percent in 2024

Patria Credit IFN, the oldest non-banking financial institution dedicated to microfinance in Romania, reported its financial results for 2024. As of December 31, 2024, Patria Credit’s loan portfolio was worth 185 million lei, up slightly compared to December 2023. The net profit recorded at the end of 2024 was 8.83 million lei, up 3 percent compared to the previous year.
In 2024, Patria Credit IFN continued to provide loans tailored to the needs of its main segment, namely microfarms, thus consolidating its role as an institution dedicated to microfinance. Its main activity was focused on supporting microfarms and small businesses, contributing significantly to their development.
Patria Credit signed a new guarantee agreement with the European Investment Fund (EIF) in 2024 under the InvestEU program, supplementing the guarantee ceiling by 290 million lei. Thus, the total value of the available guarantees reached 495.5 million lei, facilitating access to financing of up to 240,000 lei for small entrepreneurs, without an advance and without guarantees.
“Even in the difficult economic and climatic context of 2024, marked by the postponement of loan installments from February and October, extreme weather phenomena and challenges in the agricultural sector, Patria Credit IFN remained a reliable partner for microfarms and agro entrepreneurs. We continue to offer them sustainable financial solutions so that they can continue their activity and investments. Supporting agriculture and rural communities remains a priority for us,” said Raluca Andreica, General Manager of Patria Credit IFN.
An important pillar of Patria Credit IFN’s development in 2024 was the completion of the implementation of a new IT system that optimizes operational flows and lending processes. This system improves the accessibility and efficiency of financial services, contributing to accelerating financial inclusion among small farmers and entrepreneurs in rural areas.
