Carrefour Romania appoints Anne-Sophie Bauwens as new CFO

Carrefour Romania announces strategic changes at the level of the company’s executive committee. The role of Chief Financial Officer and member of the Carrefour Romania Executive Committee is taken over by Anne-Sophie Bauwens, a specialist with over 15 years of experience in financial management, pricing and strategic planning. She succeeds Régis Moratin, who will take on a new key role within the Carrefour Group.
Throughout her career within the Carrefour Group, Anne-Sophie Bauwens has held management positions in Belgium, France, Taiwan and Italy. She started in Carrefour Belgium, where she held key roles such as Business Controller, with a focus on FMCG and dairy products. Subsequently, at the Carrefour Group headquarters, as Group Financial Controller, she coordinated financial consolidation processes, collaborating with financial leaders at a European level and contributing to initiatives to improve operational performance. In 2018, she took over the management of the Business Controlling & Pricing department in Carrefour Taiwan, where she played a strategic role in the integration of over 200 stores, following a strategic acquisition process. Starting in 2021, she held the position of Business Controlling Director at Carrefour Italy, where she contributed to building the financial strategy.
“After an extensive career within the group, I am honoured to start this new chapter at Carrefour Romania and contribute to the transformation and sustainable development of the organization. I strongly believe that the finance function has an essential role, not only in monitoring performance and efficiently allocating resources, but also in cultivating an organizational culture based on data and accountability. I also aim to support key values of our organization such as social inclusion and female leadership by directly involving myself in such initiatives within the team”, said Anne-Sophie Bauwens, the new CFO and member of the Carrefour Romania Executive Committee.
