Accor Group opens new Handwritten Collection hotel in Bucharest

Handwritten Collection, part of Accor Group, announces the opening of Bucharest Unirii Square – Handwritten Collection hotel, marking the brand’s debut in Southeast Europe.
Bucharest Unirii Square – Handwritten Collection offers 88 rooms, curated gastronomic experiences, and a welcoming ambiance with touches of Arabic hospitality.
“Handwritten Collection stands as a beacon of individuality in the midscale hospitality segment, where connections are treasured, and wonder is discovered,” said Kinan Sarieddine, General Manager of Bucharest Unirii Square – Handwritten Collection. “This hotel is more than just a place to stay – it is a home, a reflection of the values that have inspired and guided my family in business for several decades. Positioned at the forefront of the midscale luxury segment, this project brings together years of hospitality expertise gained from working with some of the world’s most prestigious hotel brands. Through a modern revamp of our rooms and an elegant expansion of our food and beverage offerings – including the addition of a signature sports bar – we have created an experience that is both ambitious and deeply personal. Honouring a rich Arabic heritage, we embrace the traditions and history that define our identity, ensuring that every guest feels not only welcomed but truly at home.”
The opening of Bucharest Unirii Square – Handwritten Collection is part of Handwritten Collection’s global expansion, with a pipeline of 15 new properties set to open throughout 2025.
