OVES and MSI Defense join forces to develop advanced AI-powered anti-drone and anti-missile systems

OVES Enterprise, a Romanian company specialized in the development of complex software solutions for the defense, aerospace, and cybersecurity industries, has signed a strategic memorandum with MSI Defense Solutions, a U.S.-based integrator of advanced tactical systems for land and naval defense. MSI is a longstanding partner of the U.S. Department of Defense and is known for its expertise in stabilized weapon platforms and counter-drone and missile defense solutions.
The strategic partnership aims to integrate the capabilities of OVES Enterprise’s Nemesis AI platform into MSI’s next-generation defense systems, including anti-drone and anti-missile applications.
“EAGLS™ was designed as a lightweight, mobile, and radar-enabled counter-UAS system — but integrating Nemesis AI takes it to another level. By fusing radar with real-time visual recognition and onboard AI decision-making, we’re enabling faster, more precise threat classification and engagement. This is about shortening kill chains, reducing operator burden, and delivering an affordable, autonomous layered defense solution that can outpace emerging drone threats at the tactical edge”, said Nguyen Trinh, CEO of MSI Defense Solutions
The partnership will lead to the development of a fully AI-driven system capable of intercepting threats using visual sensors alone, with no reliance on radar or GPS – a capability currently unavailable in this configuration on the global market.
OVES Enterprise will implement an advanced sensor fusion solution – “super sensor fusion” – combining RGB, thermal, and neuromorphic cameras to detect and recognize incoming threats in real time. Once identified, Nemesis AI will classify the threat, notify the Battle Management System (BMS), and generate recommendations on the optimal interception method based on the available arsenal.
The entire system will be powered by dedicated AI hardware developed specifically for this partnership, engineered to handle high data volumes at speeds beyond those of conventional systems.
Simultaneously, the platform will enable intelligent turret movement control, delivering significantly higher speed and precision than traditional mechanical systems. With these capabilities, MSI EAGLS™ systems will be able to intercept next-generation drones – fast, autonomous, and missile-evading – using only visual data and artificial intelligence. In an industry where performance is critical and response time can determine the success or failure of a mission, this type of system sets a new technological standard.
“This collaboration confirms OVES Enterprise’s strategic direction and the maturity of the Nemesis AI platform. From the outset, our goal was to build a scalable technology with relevance in the most demanding operational scenarios, not just in controlled tests. Our discussions with MSI started from an urgent, real-world need: to counter attack types that current systems fail to intercept. We’ve demonstrated that we can deliver more than a recognition tool – we offer a complete platform that analyzes, decides, and acts at the pace required on the ground. Nemesis AI is now proving to be a versatile technology – usable in drones, turrets, and integrated defense systems – and this partnership is a key step in consolidating our international position as a defense AI solutions provider”, said Mihai Filip, CEO of OVES Enterprise.
The system will deliver advanced threat recognition and response capabilities while maintaining an optimized cost level – estimated at half the cost of comparable solutions currently on the market. AI processing will be conducted on dedicated hardware designed and delivered by OVES Enterprise, ensuring efficient integration and full independence from other technical platforms.
