Marius Danga, Iasi County Council: “We try to create all the conditions for investors to come to Iasi”
“The local public administration in Iasi wants to support business development because Moldova has been neglected in the past. We need to give signals to the big players that projects can be developed here in Moldova as well. We are developing two industrial parks in the Iasi metropolitan area. One of them is in Letcani and there we already have the constructor on the field. There we have an investment of about 16 million RON scheduled for this year and 2022,” Marius Danga, Vice-president, Iasi County Council said during Real Estate Forum 2021 organized by The Diplomat-Bucharest.
“In parallel, we started discussions with the town hall of Holboca and we want to develop a land of 30 hectares. We are currently in the procedure of purchasing the services for the construction of the PUZ, so that we can obtain the financing sources for the construction of the park.
In addition, we also have discussions with the Dumesti commune mayor’s office for another 20-hectare land with an opening to the European road.
We try to create all the conditions for investors to come to Iasi. Kaufland bought a 40-hectare plot of land near the Miroslava industrial park to develop the company’s largest warehouse.
Our main concern is to build a support infrastructure for the future highway structure and to build better connections for the airport. We also want to develop a new terminal for Iasi airport.
We are also working on the project of a new hospital in Miroslava, a project that is included in the PNRR. That is why we are in talks to expand the road infrastructure.
We will also sign a contract with CFR Infrastructure for the development of a metropolitan train for the area that includes the city of Iasi and the nearby communes.”
