“Digitization is now more than ever on everyone’s mind and the whole world focuses on finding and developing the solutions that help us all to continue our activity as normal as possible despite the turbulent times we are all going through. And we, at Vodafone, did just that, focused on specific needs that our clients and our society had during this time and decided to take a bold step and shift our business model. We are now undergoing a transformational process, evolving from a telecommunication company to a new generation connectivity and digital services provider. The period we are going through worldwide has further accelerated the adoption of new technologies, and for education and health was essential to provide support. To be prepared for the continuous request of new solutions that should support these domains and other areas relevant for our clients, we saw the need to expand our internal IT team so by the end of the year we have the objective to find 100 experts in this area. Moreover, we’ve invested throughout the year in our mobile and fixed infrastructure to support the high traffic of data registered since the pandemic emerged and ensure sustainable connections for our clients. And we are extremely happy that these investments have noticeable results and just recently we’ve been named the most reliable 5G data network in Romania and been certified as offering the best fixed internet user experience by the German independent auditor umlaut. For the next period, we plan to continue to grow our portfolio of IoT, e-health, smart agriculture or e-education solutions and further develop our infrastructure to support the need of our clients”, stated Achilleas Kanaris, CEO Vodafone Romania.
