Alina Gamauf, Carrefour Romania: “Digitalization of HR processes it’s a must”
“It’s a must to rebuild the HR processes. Last year we accelerated the digitalization of all the main processes, starting from the learning management system. We were creating an onboarding platform for the new employees. We are also bringing international colleagues from the group to Romania as a normal development process,” Alina Gamauf, HR, Corporate Affairs and CSR, Executive Committee Board Member, Carrefour Romania said during “Belonging at Work Conference” powered by The Diplomat-Bucharest.
“Digitalization of HR processes it’s not a matter of choice anymore, it’s a must otherwise you will not be able to be competitive business-wise. The new normality is that you need to make sure you are offering tailor-made solutions for the people.
The biggest challenge is how to drag the adoption of digitalization in the companies. Firstly, we need to train the existing employees, the managers, the leaders and we need to make sure they are embracing and adopting this new reality. Secondly, we all need to find our differentiators to attract and engage new people.”
Carrefour is currently one of the biggest employers in Romania, with 17,000 people across the country.
Carrefour Romania recently announced that Gabriela Stanica is taking over the E-commerce department and becomes Chief Information, Data Officer and E-commerce Director, after the promotion of Catalin Samara as International Director of Bringo.
