Romanian Association for Smart City: The Smart City Industry Champions will be awarded on March 31 at the Parliament Palace

The Smart City Industry Awards Gala is the main event for the Smart City industry in Romania, the place where the best projects are awarded, where the future of communities is discussed and where the most inspired ideas for designing our urban and rural future are brought to the stage.

The sixth edition of the Smart City Industry Awards Gala takes place under the High Patronage of the Ministry of National Defense and under the Academic Patronage of the Polytechnic University of Bucharest. The event organized by the Romanian Association for Smart City will take place on March 31, 2022, at the Parliament Palace, being opened by the message addressed by the Minister of Defense, Mr. Vasile Dîncu, in the context in which this year’s theme, Reconnection, will focus on city safety , through the safe city component.

Together with the Ministry of National Defense, by awarding the High Patronage, we want to promote the civic culture of defense and security of communities, the education of leaders and decision makers with a role in urban civil protection, but also to recognize the sustained efforts of those who understood the importance of Safe City. – public institutions, companies, experts.

In this context, exclusively in 2022, 10 important categories in the field of Safe City will be awarded, as follows: Safe City Project of the Year, Best Security Company of the Year, Best Security Product of the Year, Threat Detection Product of the Year, Cyber ​​Personality of the Year, Urban Resilience, Reimagine Public Safety, Cyber ​​Woman of the Year, Cyber ​​Security Entrepreneur of the Year, Cyber ​​Security Software Company of the Year.

The Romanian Association for Smart City invites interested town halls, county councils, companies and organizations, until March 6, 2022, to register projects that can become models of good practice. The selected and judged projects will be awarded at the ceremony on March 31, 2022. According to tradition, the nomination for president of the jury belongs to the big winner of the previous edition (Best Smart City Project), this year’s edition being chaired by the Mayor of Sector 4, Mr. Daniel Băluță. The competition jury is made up of experts in the fields that make up the Smart City industry.

By promoting innovation, establishing partnerships and identifying development opportunities, the event is dedicated to creating a better future for cities and their citizens.
