Gala of the National Confederation for Women Entrepreneurship – CONAF: “Women in Economy. Beyond Borders ” this year transcends the borders of the country and shows us the lesson of solidarity and humanity in the current context of the war in Ukraine.
“This is a time when we cannot stand aside: a nation with which we share borders is being challenged. Moreover, the security of the whole of Europe is called into question. Thousands of innocent people are forced to flee their homes, millions more live under the threat of invasion. Although there may not be many things we can do, we can stay together through solidarity and humanity. That is why, during the CONAF Gala “Women in Economy. Beyond Borders “This year, together with the Red Cross, as a partner, we will launch a fundraiser exclusively to help refugees in Ukraine,” said Cristina Chiriac, CONAF President.
“United for humanity! brings to mind essential values such as solidarity, humanity and talks about generous people and the trials that our neighbors in Ukraine, far from home, are going through,” explained Cristina Chiriac.
In its fourth edition, the CONAF Gala rewards excellence and promotes female entrepreneurship, but this year, the focus is also on the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.
“Because we are mothers and husbands before we are businesswomen, we cannot remain indifferent and we must act when there is a greater need for help. The Federation of Business Women of the North-East Region, the Federation of Women Entrepreneurs, CONAF branches such as those in Bucharest, Brăila, Galați, Tulcea and beyond, mobilized exemplary since the onset of the humanitarian crisis and helped refugees, offering shelter, food, clothing. Following our approach, during the CONAF Gala, together with the Red Cross, we thought of a special, charitable moment, during which funds will be raised for Ukrainian refugees, families with children in their arms fleeing the war in our country”, said the president of CONAF.
“Women in Economy. Beyond Borders” Gala enjoys the presence of distinguished business guests at the national level, partners and representatives of the institutions that support the involvement and development of women’s initiatives in business, society or culture. Also, government figures, ambassadors and representatives of national and multinational companies are with the organizers to applaud the performance of women in the economy and support our cause. The winners are women from various fields of activity: energy, IT&C, health, industries, volunteering for a better society, etc.
The National Confederation for Women Entrepreneurship – CONAF is the only confederation that supports and promotes women’s entrepreneurship and aims to defend the rights and economic, social, financial, legal and cultural rights of business women in relations with public authorities and the development of business relations. CONAF has 2 federations, 6 employers, 5 associations and 19 branches.
