Florian Burnar, EY: “Transition to circular economy can be accelerated by a stronger partnership between relevant stakeholders’’
“I had the pleasure to moderate a very interesting and lively debate of some of actors that are forerunners in the area of circular economy, be them consultants, retailers or manufacturers. They are the heroes that are actually implementing circular economy. Their success stories and successful projects from Romania or elsewhere in the world need to be known and replicated whenever possible,” Florian Burnar, Senior Consultant – Government and Public Sector, EY Romania said during Circular Economy Conference organized by The Diplomat-Bucharest.
“Nevertheless, a stronger partnership between the public and the private sectors may be a good way of accelerating the process of transition towards circular economy in the benefit of the economy and of the entire Romanian society. We as EY are fully committed in making the transition process faster and better.”
Implementation of the circular model in Romania, a popular concept in the European Union (EU) is fragile and still not entirely understood in Romania at all levels of stakeholders. However, there is the local potential in generating positive perspectives of embodiment in the circularity of Romanian economy in the following years, especially following EU regulations in the field.
The Diplomat-Bucharest organized the second edition of Circular Economy Conference, on March 31, 2022 in Bucharest.
The conference aimed to highlight the status of local measures and actions related to circular economy in Romania, identify the performers in this field, to offer a local perspective of the CE theory towards its practical implementation and applicability of the principles of the circular economic system related to the Romanian economy.
