Cristina Corello, Bosch Romania: “Employees need more and more mentoring”
“With the end of the pandemic, we were put in a rather interesting situation. The diversity of the Bosch business in Romania does not really allow us to go for the one size fits all option. We have sales departments or areas, production, research and development, BPO and we cannot put them all in the same bucket. We learned from each other, and the different work setups helped us to adapt. We had to observe if our tools are the right ones and if we can maintain business continuity through the model we implemented,” Cristina Corello, Country HR Senior Director, Bosch Romania said during Workplace of the Future conference organized by The Diplomat-Bucharest.
“We have invested a lot in leaders because they have the biggest challenges. It is quite difficult to maintain a good interaction between colleagues if they work from different places and do not come to the office.
We tried to create a balance between the time spent working from home and the time spent working from the office.
Employees need more and more mentoring and I believe that this topic will gain more importance in the future.
Productivity was maintained at a high level during the pandemic due to the fact that the teams were made up of employees who knew each other from the office. When the number of new employees increases in the organization, and the induction process is more difficult, you must take care of the productivity curve.
We noticed the increasingly obvious need for work-life balance. We faced some challenges, but fortunately our employees easily accepted the hybrid model. We are in a formula that allows us to balance things and make sure that we can reach our targets without causing problems in our activities.”
