Cristian Mihaly, Vitesco Technologies Romania: “We have courses through which we teach people what electrification means”
“Our goal is for everything we do in the company to be CO2 neutral by 2030. There are many concepts and standards that must be applied.
The development of the charging infrastructure for electric cars starts first from education and this is one of our strategic priorities until 2030.
We have engineers who in the past developed combustion engines and the control part of engines and who now deal with battery management systems. The key to reducing consumption is how you manage your battery,” Cristian Mihaly, Country Head, Vitesco Technologies Romania said during Green Mobility Forum organized by The Diplomat-Bucharest.
“We must provide users with clear information, so that they are able to make the best possible decision. Having an electric car means planning your trips differently. Consumption calculations are no longer in litres per 100 kilometres, but in kWh per 100 kilometres.
We have courses through which we teach people what electrification means, what is the future of green mobility and why it is important to make the transition to electric cars.
In addition to the technical challenges, there are also the challenges of educating consumers about electric mobility solutions.”
Vitesco Technologies brings together the full expertise of drive technologies. The company’s aim is to develop innovative, efficient electrification technologies for all types of vehicles. Its portfolio includes 48-volt electrification solutions, electric drives, and power electronics for hybrid and battery-electric vehicles. Furthermore, the product range counts electronic controls, sensors and actuators as well as solutions for exhaust after-treatment.
