Oana Piticas, Noerr: “More than 60 percent of employees are interested in employers who have implemented diversity and inclusion strategies”
“We see people changing jobs all the time. We see people wanting to change jobs. We see employers who can adjust to that, and we see employers who don’t. This is also connected to the Great Resignation, which produced a lot of changes. Legally speaking, I don’t see something significant coming up in this direction in the near future.
We see people that are disengaged in every sector of activity. You can call it the Great Disengagement and you look for potential reasons for that. Choice is a potential reason because we look at the unemployment rate and it’s low,” Oana Piticas, Coordinator White Collar Crime Practice Romania, Noerr said during People Empowering Business Forum organized by The Diplomat-Bucharest.
“Every employer is complaining at some point that it can’t find the right people or enough people. We hear this all the time from our clients.
What we see in job interviews is people are not only interested about their pay checks or the employee benefits, but they look at many other things. We get questions about diversity statistics, about the inclusion strategy.
The entire story about diversity and inclusion comes from the ESG. It’s the social component, it’s not the only part of the social component, but it’s probably the one that companies have paid the greatest attention to so far.
The attention came as a result of a great market demand, because nowadays candidates have the opportunity to choose between employers who implement diversity and inclusion strategies. Our statistics indicate that more than 60 percent of employees are actually interested in employers who have implemented such diversity and inclusion strategies.”
