Distributie Oltenia continues to install photovoltaic panels in its transformer stations
Distributie Oltenia announces that it will install photovoltaic panels in two transformer stations (110/20 kV Barbatesti from Gorj county and Balș station from Olt county).
The project has a total value of 1.26 million euros, 745,772 euros representing the non-refundable amount.
“We are glad to have the support of the funding granted by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the Norwegian financial mechanism 2014-2021 in making a new investment in the Oltenia Distribution electrical installations to cover domestic energy consumption and improve the quality of energy distributed to our consumers. These are also our sustainable development objectives, assumed within the Oltenia Distribution strategy of sustainability. We will continue to look for new opportunities to access these funds,” said Eugen Butoarca, Distributie Oltenia’s Executive Director.
The aim of the project is to install photovoltaic power plants in order to compensate for the own internal consumption related to the transformation stations with the help of a green energy source, leading to the improvement of the efficiency of the electricity distribution process, a fact that will directly contribute to cost efficiency and ensuring continuity in the supply of electricity to consumers in Gorj and Olt.
The project implementation period is 14 months, respectively between 01.08.2022 and 30.09.2023.
