Gheorghe Manole, Eximprod: “Romania must have an energy development plan for the next ten years”
“We all know what Europe’s plans and objectives are for reducing emissions until 2050. Every company makes plans for 5-10 years, but we still haven’t seen what Romania’s energy strategy is until 2050. If not a strategy, at least an energy development plan for the next 10 years. To succeed, you need a plan.
After you have the plan, you need to see if you have the human resources. Afterwards, you have to make sure you have money for the action plan,” Gheorghe Manole, Founder Eximprod said during Energy CEO Forum organized by The Diplomat-Bucharest.
“We need to have a dialogue with the authorities, and I would be happy to have meetings where we can present our ideas to them. We know and understand the needs of our partners. Romania’s energy network needs massive investments because it currently no longer meets market requirements.
A very clear regulation is needed in this field. Romania has made very good progress regarding the regulation of the renewable energy sector in recent years.
The banking system is not adapted to the financing needs of the energy sector. Romania currently has no investment bank.”
