Schneider Electric Romania provided the electrical distribution solution for the eMAG logistics center in Budapest
Continuing the collaboration with eMAG – started at the retailer’s largest logistics warehouse in Southeast Europe, located near Bucharest – Schneider Electric provided the electrical distribution solution for the company’s new logistics center in Budapest.
For this project, Schneider Electric Romania partnered with Baupartner HU kft, with whom it also collaborated in Romania, for both logistics warehouses built by eMAG near Bucharest. Schneider Electric Romania equipped the low-voltage switchboards of the eMAG warehouse in Hungary using the latest digital solutions.
And in the case of this new eMAG logistics center, the building has over 100,000 square meters and specific operational requirements. The solutions proposed by Schneider Electric responded to a complex set of needs of the beneficiary, starting from the maximum availability of electricity and the reduction of interruption times to the monitoring of consumption in order to reduce possible losses. The warehouse now allows the beneficiary to ensure an even shorter time for the delivery of the orders he receives from his clients.
“At eMAG, innovation plays an extremely important role, and in order to constantly offer our customers fast delivery services and access to a large range of products, we are looking to surround ourselves with tailor-made partners”, says Daniel Spiridon, eMAG Business Development & Strategy.
Collaborating closely with the warehouse builder, the company Baupartner HU kft, part of the Baupartner Group of companies, and understanding the value of time and the importance of keeping fixed costs as low as possible, Schneider Electric Romania fully capitalized on the performance of the EcoStruxure solution, including the advanced degree of digitization on which this allows him.
“We have recently come to value automation and digitalization more and more and to understand their benefits, not only the economic ones, but also those aimed at ease of use”, said Lucian Enaru, General Director of Schneider Electric Romania, Republic of Moldova and Armenia. “Especially for such logistics centers, which provide services with drastic time limits, the digitalization of electrical installations is extremely important; this facilitates maintenance activities and reduces the risks of unplanned interruptions in the electricity supply.”
“We have in Romania both last-minute solutions and specialists who create specific projects for clients from any field and of any size,” said Lucian Enaru. “In this case, we were glad that we could bring the EcoStruxure Power solution to a project of such magnitude. The gains resulting from automation are always significant, so that a solution of great complexity, with strong implications in the client’s business – both in terms of savings and in terms of ensuring the continuity of operations – can demonstrate its value in a concrete and tangible way.”
