Antoniu Panait, Vastint Romania: “Shared management is very important for the future”

“2024 will come with a lot of experiences from the past. I believe that shared management will be more important in the future. When I started my experience – 20 years ago – we didn’t know anything about how the company is evolving. We just had our little corner and we had to do our job. In time, my experience evolved, I changed jobs and for 15 years I have been working for Vastint. I love my job. We develop buildings, office buildings, residential buildings, and hotels. We have two projects in Bucharest: Timpuri Noi Square and Business Garden,” Antoniu Panait, Managing Director, Vastint Romania said during People Empowering Business Forum 2023 organized by The Diplomat-Bucharest.

“We are exposed to the experience of our tenants. It’s very interesting to discuss with the managers what they think, how they see the evolution of management, technology, ESG and many other topics.

From a business perspective, we make sure that we don’t make the wrong decisions. We do that by constantly talking with our team. So, I believe that shared management is very important, because you see the changes in our colleagues when they understand where we are, what are our worries, and that they are part of the success story.

It’s very important to communicate more with the managers, with middle managers, and I think that’s the key to the future.

Currently, we have 100,000 sqm of leasable area in Bucharest and over 40 tenants. We have a high pressure from a development perspective because we are not allowed to compromise on quality, to do the so-called value engineering.”
