Restart Energy implemented a photovoltaic panel system for Kraftalt
Restart Energy has completed the installation of a photovoltaic power generation system for Kraftalt, worth approximately 450,000 euros. The project has an output of 626.4 kWp and was installed on the beneficiary’s building in Dej, Cluj County.
The system consists of 1392 panels, which provide about 90% of the company’s energy consumption. The green energy produced equals a reduction in CO2 emissions of approximately 243 tonnes per year.
“The investment was made in the context of the increasing electricity price and the change in the legislation on prosumers. We have focused our efforts to integrate modern technologies to the residents of the Industrial Park and bring benefits for them through lower electricity costs, predictability, reduced CO2 footprint and increased energy performance. From the beginning of our collaboration with Restart Energy we were pleasantly impressed by the team’s prompt responsiveness and attention to technical detail” says Urian Ioan Vasile, Kraftalt Administrator.
“Independent power generation means flexibility, lower carbon footprint and increased company profitability through operational cost efficiency. Photovoltaic panels have a lifetime of around 30 years and maintenance costs are minimal”, says Armand Domuța, General Manager Restart Energy.
In 2023, Restart Energy implemented 42 PV projects with an installed capacity of 11,327 MW.
In January 2021, Restart Energy signed a partnership with the US fund Interlink Capital Strategies of Washington DC to finance the development of 500 MW of renewable projects in Romania by 2025, with the aim of supplying 100% locally produced green energy to all end customers.
In February 2021, Restart Energy successfully launched the first convertible green bond issue in Romania to be listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, with the code REO26.
