SAP extends the contract of CEO Christian Klein until 2028
SAP announces that it has extended the contract of Christian Klein for the position of CEO of the company by three years, until the end of 2028. SAP also appointed Klein as chairman of the Executive Committee, where he previously served as spokesperson.
Klein joined SAP’s Executive Board in 2018 and was named co-CEO in October 2019, before being named sole CEO of SAP SE in April 2020.

I look forward to continuing the close cooperation with my colleagues on the SAP Executive Board, as well as with our employees, partners, customers, and investors,” said Christian Klein. “Together, we have successfully executed our strategy and it is a privilege to lead SAP on its journey to become the number one company in enterprise applications and artificial intelligence developed for business.”
Klein began his career at SAP as a student in 1999. He later held various positions within the company, including Chief Financial Officer of SAP SuccessFactors and Chief Controlling Officer of SAP SE, and in 2016 he was named Chief Operating Officer Officer of SAP SE, position in which he continued until 2021.
