Performance, innovation, social responsibility and leadership, awarded at the third edition of the Business Excellence Gala
The Business Excellence Gala 2024, a landmark event in the entrepreneurial landscape, brought together business leaders, representatives of public authorities, state-owned companies, members of the government and academia, creating a unique platform for dialogue, collaboration and recognition of business excellence .
The event was organized by the European Patronage of Business Women PEFA and hosted by the Government of Romania.
At the opening of the event, Andreea Negru, the president of PEFA, said: “We are at the third Business Excellence Gala, a new concept this year because, alongside the private sector, we brought to public attention state institutions and national companies that prove that they can perform in favorable or less favorable conditions depending on the field of activity. We are together to applaud the performance, to be aware of the fact that this is the only way we can contribute to sustainable and sustainable economic development. The Excellence in Business 2024 Gala is a platform for recognizing extraordinary achievements in the Romanian economy”.
The first vice-president of PEFA, Lorena Stoian, added:
“It is a moment when we celebrate not only economic success, but also the fundamental values that are the basis of modern entrepreneurship: innovation, social responsibility and leadership. We are honored by the support we receive from the Government of Romania and by the presence of prominent leaders from the economy and administration, who share with us the commitment to the sustainable development of the business environment”.
Victoria Stoiciu, state adviser in the Prime Minister’s Chancellery, said: “Today’s event also records the social responsibility of the business environment. I think that the role of a company is not only to generate profit, but also to be responsible towards a community, towards the members of the society in which it operates”.
Mircea Abrudean, the Secretary General of the Government reminded that leadership in business is very important, because we need business models, just as we also need models in the public area, models that encourage us to move forward. Mircea Abrudean added: “We also need innovation, the ability to respond to global changes, and that’s why I reaffirm the Government’s commitment to supporting the business environment, to the creation of a stable and predictable economic framework that stimulates investments, innovation and entrepreneurship. We want to strengthen the partnership between the public and private sectors, to build an environment conducive to development”.
Florin Jianu, brand representative of the business environment, said: “The European Patronage of Business Women does not lower the standard at all, because the leadership of this patronage has proposed that the events and everything that it does from the Victoria Palace upwards, especially since it came to represent over 30,000 employees in less than 9 months after its establishment. PEFA grows organically, healthily, is concerned with business excellence and today’s gala is a crowning of the work done. (…) I saw that in Romania the companies that are listed on the stock exchange and are managed by women are above the European average, which is a great thing. I think we have to start behaving like a developed country from an economic point of view, but also socially, in everything we do, to put forward the models of excellence”.
The Business Excellence Gala is more than a celebratory event, it is an engine of change and innovation that connects vital sectors of the economy and society, actively contributing to the development of a prosperous business environment and strengthening relationships between the private, public and academic sectors.
Because PEFA supports education, the Excelenta in Business Gala debuted with a moment dedicated to young people who have performed internationally, obtaining gold medals in mathematics, at the International Olympiad of Trades in Lyon and at the Global Innovation Challenge and Rapid Prototyping in New York .
