MedLife completes the acquisition of the Antares Clinic group
MedLife, the operator with the largest acquisition portfolio in the Romanian medical market, announces the completion of the transaction with the Antares Clinic group, one of the most important private medical service providers in Moldova.
The acquisition was initiated in July of this year. As a result, MedLife now has 18 clinics and laboratories, becoming the owner of the largest diagnostic network in the Moldova region.
Founded in 2006, Antares Clinic offers patients a wide range of services, from multidisciplinary consultations for over 25 medical specialties and laboratory services to complex imaging investigations. Patients in the northeastern part of the country will be able to access these services both on a fee-for-service basis and through subscription plans.
The group consists of three large outpatient units located in Piatra Neamt, Botosani, and Onesti, all equipped with advanced imaging technology, as well as two laboratories in Piatra Neamt and Botosani. Antares Clinic’s revenue last year amounted to RON 18.3 million.
“The integration of the new partner, Antares Clinic, into the group will bring significant advantages for patients in the Moldova region. In addition to our presence in Iasi, Galati, Braila, Piatra Neamt, Roman, Bacau, Suceava, and Targu Neamt—cities where we already have a strong footprint in clinics and laboratories—we will further strengthen our presence, particularly in the area of medical imaging and beyond. This expansion brings our network to 18 medical units in this part of the country, giving patients access not only to skilled doctors but also to comprehensive diagnostic solutions”, said Mihai Marcu, President and CEO of MedLife Group.
In the medium and long term, MedLife also aims to pursue transactions beyond the country’s borders, in several countries within the region.
