Partners’ Day at Codlea: Launch of the Business Environment Advisory Council – an important step for the dialogue between the administration and the business environment
Codlea City Hall, in partnership with the Patronage of Small and Medium Enterprises Brașov (PIMM Brașov) and the European Patronage of Businesswomen (PEFA), organized Partners’ Day, an essential event to strengthen relations between the local administration and the business environment, with the main aim facilitating dialogue and strategic partnerships for local economic development.
During the event, Florin Jianu, the representative of the National Council of Small and Medium Private Enterprises in Romania (CNIPMMR), launched an innovative proposal: the creation of the Consultative Council of the Business Environment, an initiative that aims to provide a platform for permanent dialogue between the mayor’s office and representatives of the local business environment, to identify common solutions to economic challenges and to support community development.
The proposal was immediately embraced by Mihai Paul Cîmpeanu, the mayor of Codlea Municipality, who emphasized the importance of involving the business environment in local decision-making processes: “Through the Business Environment Advisory Council, we will be able to create a direct link between the town hall and entrepreneurs, so that the decisions we make are consistent with the real needs of the business community. It is an initiative that will benefit both the economic development of our city and the creation of a prosperous business environment.”
For her part, the president of PIMM Brașov, Alina Paul, said: “Through this platform, topics such as local regulations, facilities offered to investors, SME support programs and other initiatives that will contribute to the economic and social growth of the municipality. Codlea City Hall will have a reliable partner at the PIMM Brașov level”.
Senator Marius Dunca was also present at the event, who spoke about the importance of public-private partnership: “We are aware of the need for partnership between the state and the business environment. If we want a strong economy, these two factors must work together, and the measures of the central and local authorities must be taken to support the business environment, thus facilitating sustainable economic development”.
As a strategic partner of the event, the president of the European Patronage of Businesswomen PEFA, Andreea Negru, claimed: “Through this initiative we wanted to bring together the business environment and the central and local public authorities to identify solutions to the problems with which the environment business face. The Business Environment Advisory Council is an example that must be multiplied at the national level as it represents an opportunity for sustainable economic development”.
For his part, the prefect of Brașov County, Cătălin Vasii, presented the opportunities offered by Codlea as a potential business center and reaffirmed the commitment to support regional development and create a business-friendly environment through collaboration and open dialogue.
The event brought together numerous local entrepreneurs, representatives of SMEs, local authorities and economic development specialists, providing a conducive framework for constructive discussions and exchange of ideas.
