The Environment Ministry signed a contract of over one billion RON for the modernization of 13 dams
Environment Minister Mircea Fechet signed a financing contract through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, through which 13 dams of the Romanian National Water Administration will be rehabilitated. The total value of the contract is over 1.18 billion RON (including VAT).
“The modernization of these dams represents extremely important works, because they protect hundreds, thousands of houses and the localities downstream from floods. In this way, we protect localities, we protect goods, houses, which would be in danger in case of floods. Through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, we have substantial amounts for investments in water management, which will help us to be more operative in the fight against climate change”, said the Minister of Environment, Water and Forests, Mircea Fechet.
