Black Friday: eMAG estimates sales of 800 million RON, 69 million RON more than last year
eMAG estimates sales of approximately 800 million RON for this year’s Black Friday edition (November 8), 69 million RON more than last year.
This year, nearly 60 percent of consumers familiar with Black Friday intend to make a purchase during the event. The product categories they intend to buy are televisions (36 percent), small appliances (36 percent), clothes (26 percent), mobile phones (26 percent) or washing machines (19 percent), according to a Kantar Romania study.
The budget that consumers planned for Black Friday also increased from year to year, rising, on average, to 3,116 RON, 261 RON more than in 2023, according to the same study.
“Black Friday is a very good time for shopping and we see that this year the Romanians’ interest in the event is increasing, both in terms of the budget they plan for the day with the most discounts of the year, and in terms of the intention to purchase. For this, we prepared with over 1.5 million offers at the best price of the year,” said Tudor Manea, CEO of Grup eMAG.
With the locker infrastructure reaching 6,400 units, 80 percent more than last year, eMAG claims that it is ready to ensure the delivery of all orders until November 23.
Last year on Black Friday, the majority of orders, i.e. 58.49 percent, were placed with easybox.
