Rețele Electrice Romania offers suppliers a new modern platform to access customer consumption data (P)
Rețele Electrice Romania has implemented a modern IT platform that makes available to all electricity suppliers the consumption data of customers in the 11 counties in its area of responsibility, so that suppliers can streamline their work by accessing up-to-date metering data.
The platform takes data from more than 1.6 million smart meters and makes it available daily to suppliers, for the customers they have in their portfolio, as it becomes accessible in the Rețele Electrice Romania database. Suppliers thus have direct access to the data measured by the electricity meters in a primary format that can be easily processed, providing flexibility in analysing, managing and processing the information.
As a result, electricity suppliers benefit from constant access to up-to-date metering data and load curves, enabling more accurate and faster forecasts of energy consumption or production. Continuous access to this data facilitates prompt reaction to market fluctuations, optimisation of internal processes and informed decisions based on current data with a higher degree of granularity.
In addition, metering data enables more efficient detection of anomalies in consumption, personalisation of offers according to customer profile and improved billing accuracy, reducing discrepancies and errors. These benefits contribute to more efficient resource management and increased customer satisfaction.
The platform utilises state-of-the-art data streaming technologies, compatible with cloud solutions, allowing the management of large volumes of data in a flexible and scalable way. The system benefits from a high level of data protection through advanced technologies that guarantee the confidentiality and integrity of information. Furthermore, the use of open source software and advanced data collection solutions ensures not only technological transparency towards all providers, but also long-term compatibility and adaptability to possible future changes.
The team of Rețele Electrice Romania has provided the providers with the information regarding this service, the detailed technical specification, as well as the modalities to ensure access only by authorised persons in order to respect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the data. In the future, the specialised teams of Rețele Electrice Romania will respond to requests for further technical information, so that the benefits of using the platform are available to all suppliers who wish to make their activity more efficient.
The electricity distribution companies, part of the PPC Group in Romania, have merged under the name Rețele Electrice Romania. The new company continues to provide electricity distribution services in Bucharest and the counties of Ilfov, Giurgiu, Constanța, Tulcea, Ialomița, Calarasi, Caras-Severin, Timis, Hunedoara and Arad.
