Tinmar Foundation and Smiles for Children Association: Together for the future of children and young people in Romania

Tinmar Foundation and Smiles for Children Association announce the launch of a partnership dedicated to supporting and improving educational practices aimed at helping children and young people discover their path in life and become active, involved and balanced adults.
In a context in which the educational system is challenged to respond to constantly changing social needs and realities, this partnership aims to provide young people not only with information, but also with solid benchmarks for the future. The main goal is to develop and implement vocational counseling and career guidance programs, adapted to the realities of the labor market and the aspirations of current generations.
The partnership between Tinmar Foundation and Smiles for Children Association aims not only to support young people in discovering their vocation, but also to strengthen collaboration between non-governmental organizations and pre-university education institutions. Together, for an open, flexible educational environment, capable of capitalizing on the potential of each child and providing real support in defining a viable educational and professional path.
This project and its directions of action were outlined and developed within Mindcubator 2024, an innovative social project incubation program, dedicated to supporting initiatives with real impact in the community. Mindcubator brings together education specialists, social entrepreneurs, business representatives and NGOs, offering participants a space for collaboration, mentoring and essential resources for transforming ideas into concrete solutions.
In the spirit of this mission, the Tinmar Foundation – Smiles for Children Association partnership will carry out a series of concrete activities designed to provide young people with real support in their personal and professional development:
- Organizing vocational counseling sessions for adolescents, to help them discover their skills and passions and better understand the professional options available to them.
- Creating educational materials and career guidance guides, adapted to the needs and interests of the current generation of students, which will provide them with clear and relevant information about professions, educational paths and labor market requirements.
- Organizing interactive workshops and meetings with professionals from various fields, so that young people can directly understand what professional life looks like in different industries and receive practical advice from specialists.
- Stimulating collaboration between NGOs and pre-university schools through joint educational projects, in which representatives of non-governmental organizations actively participate in school life and contribute to the development of students’ socio-emotional skills.
- Promoting the results and conclusions of the project within a dedicated conference, to which representatives of the authorities, the School Inspectorate of Bucharest Municipality and other educational institutions interested in adopting good practice models will be invited.
“We believe in the power of education to change destinies and in the role of the community to support each child on their path. This partnership is more than an educational project — it is a commitment to our common future. We aim to train well-prepared young people, capable of critical analysis, effective collaboration and respect for diversity and fundamental rights. We focus on an education anchored in humanistic and scientific values, connected to both national culture and global realities. Moreover, we want to actively contribute to their social integration as involved and creative adults,” declare the representatives of the two organizations.
The Smiles for Children Association and the Tinmar Foundation invite all interested institutions to join them in this mission, because only together can we build a society in which every young person has the chance to reach their potential. They hope that this project will become an example of collaboration and solidarity between the non-governmental sector, educational institutions and the entire community.
