Delgaz Grid invested 64 million lei in the gas networks in Cluj last year

Delgaz Grid, the natural gas and electricity distribution company within the E.ON Group in Romania, completed 15 investment projects in Cluj County last year, their total value being about 64 million lei (13 million euros).
Over 60 million lei (about 12 million euros) was the value of the projects for the modernization of 64 km of the county’s gas network, another 3 million lei (over 600,000 euros) being allocated for the expansion of the local distribution system by over 9 km.
The most important investment works aimed at the modernization of the gas network in the Cluj metropolitan area, the localities: Gilău (19 km), Baciu (13.5 km) and Florești (over 7 km), respectively, the municipality of Cluj-Napoca (over 10 km).
In order to increase the performance of the networks and provide better and safer services, investments continue in 2025, with works planned in Cluj County to modernize the gas network in the municipalities of Turda, Dej, Cluj-Napoca and the localities of Cheia and Mărtinești.
In 2024, Delgaz Grid invested over 356 million lei (72 million euros) in the distribution of natural gas in the counties in the area of activity, with a total of 365 km of gas pipelines and connections being modernized. The distribution network was extended by 459 km, with almost 35,000 new consumers being connected.
At the same time, in partnership with local authorities, natural gas distributions were established in 10 localities in the counties of Iași, Bacău, Arad and Sibiu, over a length of 68 km, following total investments of approximately 16.5 million lei.
12 natural gas regulation and metering stations were modernized in the counties of Bacau, Cluj, Mureș, Neamț, Sălaj, Satu Mare and Timiș, which led to the improvement of the quality of the distribution service for consumers in the served areas.
The investment budget for 2025 is over 560 million lei (111 million euros). Delgaz Grid aims to modernize natural gas pipelines and connections over a length of 450 km.
