Romanian NGO uses donations to build modular hospital for COVID-19 patients in Bucharest
“Give Life” Association will build a modular hospital for COVID-19 patients, continuing its involvement to strengthen the Romanian medical system in the fight with coronavirus.
The modular hospital will be located in the courtyard of the Elias Bucharest Hospital, based on the agreement given by its management, and it will be completed in four weeks.
The association calls on companies and individuals from Romania and abroad to join the project. The project plan was developed together with partners Tesseract, IMSAT and Linde.
“Romania has the advantage of being a few weeks behind the other states, but it will not avoid the peak of the epidemic we see in Italy and Spain,” said Carmen Uscatu, founder of “Give Life”. “Then, thousands of cases will invade hospitals in Romania, already overcrowded and unable to protect their patients due to infections and lack of medical equipment. It is essential that this time will be used to act in the sense that patients and doctors need.”
