CONAF urges Government to help private sector retain its employees
Romanian Women’s Entrepreneurship Confederation asks the Government to grant the private sector an incentive in the amount of 5500 RON during the state of emergency for each employee retained for 6 months.
“Romania needs to reinvent itself and pay more attention to the private sector, the only one capable of economically supporting the recovery from the crisis through government subsidies in the amount of gross average wage (5500 RON) during the state of emergency, for each employee kept for six months. That said, instead of boosting the unemployment rate, even the technical one, we stimulate job retention, contributions to the state budget and job security for the employee,” says Cristina Chiriac, president of CONAF.
Eliminating the technical unemployment and replacing it with measures to stimulate the private companies in the amount of the average gross salary will eliminate the inequality between the public and the private sector, according to CONAF.
“Without incentives granted to the private environment, the unemployment rate could exceed 10% worldwide, and the experience of previous crises has taught us that if we delay the recovery of companies, the social assistance of the employees will be prolonged and the consumption would be affected, thus creating fundamental imbalances in the economy,” adds Cristina Chiriac.
