Corina Popescu, Electrica: Every company must have a strategy for effective investments
Every company must have a strategy for effective investments, so that Romania can achieve its Green Deal targets, according to Corina Popescu, CEO Electrica.
“Each country must establish investment plans, coherent development policies, clear principles through which each company can access European funds for development,” she said during the online conference SUSTAINABILITY IN BUSINESS – Practice what you Preach.
“It is very important for Romania to monetize the Green Deal concept,” Corina Popescu explained. “In my opinion, Just Transition Fund offers many opportunities for Romania. Sustainability means green, digitization and sustainable business development. These three pillars must be monetized as well as possible by Romania. Romania has made major mistakes in the field of renewable energy, major mistakes on energy efficiency. From my perspective, Romania failed to capitalize on the advantages it had”.
