ENERGY CEO FORUM & AWARDS GALA 2020 celebrated the performance in energy and awarded 16 categories of the sector
The Diplomat-Bucharest organized on Thursday, July 23, the nineth edition The Energy CEO Forum & Awards Gala, at Athenee Palace Hilton.

ENERGY CEO FORUM & AWARDS GALA – THE LANDMARK EVENT
Starting as an Awards reception in 2012, Diplomat Media Events developed the Gala event into a more complex platform, featuring the energy industry CEO Forum followed by an Awards Gala aimed at Romanian energy firms, live streamed on the online platforms of the event and The Diplomat-Bucharest.
ENERGY CEO FORUM brought together the decision makers at the Governmental level and civil society and C-level business leaders in the energy sector. The Forum will offer the stage to senior figures, experts and the most knowns specialists in the field, to discuss some of the most pressing aspects of the industry today:
The official opening has been addressed by NICULAE HAVRILET, State Secretary, Ministry of Economy, Energy and Business Environment in dialogue with ONDREJ SAFAR, Country Manager for Romania, CEZ Group; CORINA POPESCU, GM, Electrica; PETRE STROE, CEO, MET Romania; IULIAN TUDORACHE, President, Board of Directors of SNN; ADRIAN PAVELESCU, Deputy General Manager, Tinmar Energy; PETRU RUSET, CEO, Siemens Energy Romania; ROBERT STELIAN CHIRCA Deputy CEO, Romgaz and not the least, VALERIU BINIG, Director, Regulatory and Antritrust, ENEL who moderated the discussions in the panel.
The panel discussions addressed subjects such as: Green Deal 2020; Interconnect energy systems and better link/integrate renewable energy sources to the grid; Promote innovative technologies and modern infrastructure; Boost energy efficiency and eco-design of products; Decarbonize the gas sector and promote smart integration across sectors; Develop the full potential of Europe’s offshore wind energy; Increase cross-border and regional cooperation to better share clean energy sources
The second part of the event was dedicated to THE ENERGY AWARDS GALA
The Awards Gala, now in its 9th year, is an elite event and a platform to recognize, reward and celebrate the success of the most prominent companies, projects and individuals acting in the energy field in Romania. Based on rigorously researched information and a Judging Panel formed of prominent names in business, government and academic society, the Gala established itself as a must-attend in your Romanian energy events calendar.
This year’s ENERGY AWARDS GALA hosted by Bogdan Miu, awarded the performance for 16 categories following a complex jury selection run during July 2020.
