Hidroelectrica has modernized the 110/6/ 0.4kV substation within the Petrimanu Pump Station following an investment worth over 3.3 million RON.
Petrimanu Station is located in the Lotrului Mountains, on the Latorița River, 17 km from Ciunget. The Petrimanu Hydropower Development aims to capture the waters coming from the tributaries of the Latorița River and from the 25 secondary catchments from the southern pumping branch, in the Petrimanu accumulation lake. Through three specially dedicated groups, water is pumped into Lake Vidra.
“Hidroelectrica continues its modernization program, the purpose being to update the objectives it has in its patrimony and to introduce them in a new life and operation cycle. At the same time as our interest in development and new investments, we do not lose sight of the fact that it is necessary to secure what we already have, to make sure that this equipment is and will continue to be available in the national energy system,” said Bogdan Badea, President of Hidroelectrica.
Hidroelectrica is a leader in electricity production and the main provider of technological services required in the National Energy System and is a vital company for a strategic sector, with implications for national security. Hidroelectrica has in operation a number of 209 hydroelectric power plants with an installed capacity totaling 6,482 MW.
