Valentin Branescu, SDEE Muntenia Nord: “Technological challenges are very important and mobilizing for any responsible operator”

“This concept of sustainable development requires a social responsibility of an operator. it must anticipate technological changes, it must have a strategy of convergence of the quality indicators he manages,” Valentin Branescu, General Manager, SDEE Muntenia Nord said during the Smart Transformation Forum organized by The Diplomat-Bucharest.

“In the urban area things are quite stable and the quality indicators are generally within reasonable margins. The rural area creates big problems, and the energy distributor must focus more on the necessary financial, operational resources,” he explained.

“In the context of the emergence of renewable energy, an operator may face many problems that he did not anticipate. There were problems with the voltage level, interruptions. The appearance of prosumers will cause problems for distributors. The network is no longer passive, it is an active network and bidirectional. It is a challenge for all operators. The technological challenges are very important and mobilizing for any responsible operator and employee in the Romanian society.”
