Adrian Dobre, Klarwin: “Securing business continuity was the most important project in 2020”
“When nobody around the globe can predict, with a decent accuracy, ‘when’ and ‘how’ this situation generated by the current pandemic will be considered ‘past’, the only certitude is that for the society it is an enormous need for specialists and competences, able to cope with the challenges and to define the winning path for continuity. So, we will continue to develop competences within the Klarwin team, specialists able to anticipate and support the market’s needs for the years to come,” Adrian Dobre, General Manager Klarwin, told The Diplomat-Bucharest.
“My hope is that the vast majority of our customers will be able to make a clear distinction between promises and facts, giving the right importance to proven solutions and competences rather than to empty promises. The effect of this would be a better sustainability of businesses, a better satisfaction of the people for their decisions, and nevertheless would drive to a pressure for the professionalization of the suppliers and supply chain.”
What do you think will be the main business drivers for business growth in your company in 2021?
Being consistent in all that we are doing good as a company, doing all the efforts to keep at least the usual standard for the activity irrespective of the local and regional pandemic situation shall be the goal for 2021. Will we assist to a Great Reset-oriented strategy in business or returning to business-as-usual?
Hopefully, the entrepreneurs will gain some trust in continuing to make investment plans for their business development. My hope is that the vast majority of our customers will be able to make a clear distinction between promises and facts, giving the right importance to proven solutions and competences rather than to empty promises. The effect of this would be a better sustainability of businesses, a better satisfaction of the people for their decisions, and nevertheless would drive to a pressure for the professionalization of the suppliers and supply chain.
What is the flag-ship project of 2020 in your company?
I would say with no doubt that it was “securing business continuity”. For us, this meant, finding any possibility to fulfil our commitments in front of our business partners irrespective of the business environment. So, we were forced to find solutions to deliver, install and commission within the committed deadlines our high-tech across Europe, despite transport and travel restrictions.
It was for sure the most complex project so far in our life, but as we learned from our experience, in the end, the most important fact is the result, and we need to be proud of our achieved one in Klarwin.
What kind of workspace culture & values is to be consolidated in your company in 2021?
I consider that for the vast majority of my colleagues it is clear already that all our achievements are possible only as a result of passion, flexibility, and hard work. From this point of view, I do hope 2021 will be a year of consolidation for our fundaments.
What is a manager’s role and skills in order to maintain and enhance a team’s cohesion?
To make every team member aware of the scope of individual and team’s performance in the society. In Klarwin we bring a daily contribution to society, whether we are referring to automobiles, pharmaceutical drugs, fuel, chemicals, power generation, beverages, environmental protection, water treatment or air purification, that we can easily find the motivation to continue striving for a better tomorrow.
What kind of skills and capabilities need to be improved in your company/team in 2021?
I do believe that for the wellbeing of each individual / colleague, we need to be focused on permanent listening and understanding of our business partners’ needs in order to be able to make accessible the best available solutions to them.
In terms of general business & teams’ core values, which are your 3 power words for 2021?
Difficult to define such a complex topic in only 3 words. Still, for us, in Klarwin those would be: Partnership, Resilience and nevertheless Respect!
