InfoCons launches together with Metropolitan Life a portal to educate and inform consumers on private pensions
InfoCons launches a campaign to better inform and educate consumers on private pensions, with the support of Metropolitan Life. Within this campaign, consumers can access a portal with relevant information in the field.
“Financial education and the correct information of the Romanian consumers represent both an obligation and a necessity for each of us to be an actual European consumer. The InfoCons Private Pensions project is one of the organization’s programmes with long term impact for consumers and for the community”, says Sorin Mierlea, President of InfoCons.
„The mission to be a long-term partner for our participants is defining for our company and takes many forms of manifestation, including involvement in educational campaigns and programs both for our participants and for all Romanian consumers. Metropolitan Life SAFPAP has the natural duty to support the financial education initiatives of the Romanian public regarding the pension system in Romania “, says Oana Velicu, General Manager of Metropolitan Life SAFPAP S.A.
The www.pensiiprivate.infocons.ro website is available both in desktop and mobile version, and it is an easy-to-use tool of information and education regarding the operational mechanisms of private pension funds.
At the same time, during the campaign, a Vocational Course for Consumer Protection in the Non-Bank Financial field will be developed, addressed to professors in pre-university education.
The course is free and takes place exclusively online, with three distinct sections for which those interested can register separately: Capital Market, Insurance and Private Pension System. At the end of the course, graduates will have an electronic certificate, offered by the InfoCons Association, under the auspices of the Federation of Consumer Associations (F.A.C.).
