Bucharest Stock Exchange loses 0.77 percent today after Boc's announcement
February 2012
The Bucharest Stock Exchange registered a drop of 0.77 percent after PM Emil Boc announced his resignation from the lead of Romanian Government while the brokers affirm that the PM decision influenced in a marginal way and it dind’t had a direct or large influence over the BSE results of today. Still, according to the brokers and economy analysits, the political uncertainty cannot have a positive effect on the capital markets, with the investors keeping or increasing their cautioness in the lack of knowledge regarding the strategy of the new PM. The transactions registered at early hours today amounted EUR 2.2 million, with Fondul Proprietetea, the most transactioned titles. The Romanian stock ecchange followed the trend of European markets, which also opened today with down results, after the end of last week brought the maximum of the latest 6 months. The situation in Europe is due to the turmoil in Greece, where the political parties refuse to agree on the conditions imposed by the international financial institutions, in exchange of a bailout.
