Electrica estimates damages worth EUR 10-20 million due to harsh weather

Power distributor Electrica estimated that it registered damages worth EUR 10 -20 million due to the extreme weather recorded n the last period in Romania, as Ioan Folescu (photo), the company’s GM stated within a media briefing.
The damages consist in 200 pillars put down but, according to the company, half of them have been already replaced. Also, in South-Eastern Romania, in Buzau area, one of the most affected areas due to the weather, the damages have been triggered by theft tendencies.
The company’s GM stated that 8,300 consumers have been affected by power disruption, of which 4,500 consumers are Electrica’s subscribers and 3,800 have been supplied by the other providers as Enel, CES and Eon.
