Exclusive    Gian Antonio Favero, founder of Favero clinics: Romanians share the same modus-vivendi as Italians

2012-05-09 16:20:19

Favero clinics, the Italian-based dental services chain, launched its first clinic in Romania, at Bucharest, within City Gate building, following an investment worth EUR 500,000. The launch comes after the  dental services company  extended in UK, with a new clinic . According to the chain founder,  Favero clinics have 20 representatives  all wide in Italy. “There is no comparison to be made between the business performances of clinics in Rome or Venezia, as we also cannot compare the expectations for the clinics abroad in different countries. We practice standard services, positioned to the premium level, “Gian Antonio Favero told the Diplomat-Bucharest. According to the  clinics’ representatives locally, among which there is also Radu Colteanu, manager of the Favero clinic in Romania, the clinics is expected to bring up to EUR 1 million turnover in the first operational year.  Starting June this year, the clinic will be operated by 7 medical doctors, specialized and trained in Italy within Favero clinics, besides 4 nurses and other administrative personnel. The decision of expanding in Romania was built two years ago and  it came also as the result of the similitude of  the two countries, sharing, as clinics founder states , “ the same modus vivendi”. The investment for the clinic is secured from private equity and, as 70 percent share, from a  bank loan taken from Italo-Romena bank. According to the company’s representatives, the company is discussing currently with the bank to state the credit maturity for 7 or ten years. The Favero Clinic, specialized in implantology, was founded in 1987 by Professor Gian Antonio Favero and is currently present in 3 countries- with 15 clinics in Italy, one in London and one in Bucharest. Italian clinic chain Favero, which offers dental medical services, will launch on the Romanian market starting June, following an investment of EUR 500,000. The clinic will have a mixed team of Italian and Romanian doctors who offer medical and implantology services. The chain of Favero clinics, specialized in dental implantology, was founded in 1987 by Professor Gian Antonio Favero. According to the professor, “implantology saved the dental services practices, as they are, among others, one of the most demanded services currently. For instance, at the Bucharest- based clinic, an implant which can cost EUR 700- EUR 1,100 can be operated and addressed to all medical specialties within one day, after which, the patient can return to his daily living habits,” according to professor Favero.
