Highway to link Comarnic and Brasov finds its constructors
An association of French Vinci, Austrian Strabag and Greek Aktor has been assigned to build the tronson to link Comarnic and Brasov, according to data published by Romanian National Company of Motorways and National Roads (CNADNR). 2013-12-20 13:30:25
According to Govt. officials, the workings are scheduled to start in April 2014. The association of Vinci and Aktor won the workings for this tronson also in 2009 but the companies didn't agree on several terms with Romanian state and the contract has not been signed at that time.
According to previous data on the market, the building cost states between EUR 1.2 and EUR 1.3 billion and the completion time is estimated for 2017 the latest. This week, CNADNR opened the 60 km tronon between Orastie.
The national plan for highways states that, by 2022, the first 16 largest Romanian cities will be linked through highways, such as: Cluj-Napoca, Targu Mures, Timisoara, Oradea, Arad, Sibiu, Brasov, Iasi, Bacau, GalaĊ£i, Braila, Constanta, Craiova, Ploiesti, Pitesti, Bucharest.
