Mol Romania to support with over 600,000 lei in 48 environment projects within the 11 edition of Green Spaces program
Mol Romania and Fundația pentru Parteneriat selected 48 environment projects suggested by different organizations and associations to be funded with 661,000 lei, within the 11 edition of the company program called Green Spaces. 2016-04-13 17:55:18
The program, through its division Urban Green Spaces, received 85 funding requests, out of which 25 projects have been selected to be funded and implemented in 17 Romanian counties. The winning organizations will use the money to refurbish school yards, universities campuses, kindergarten green spaces, public parks and children centers yards. Through this program, over 2,0000 trees will be planted, along with 7.000 flowers, on over 97,000 sqm space in the cities.
The second arm of Green Spaces, targeting protected natural areas, 66 projects have been received and 23 have been selected to receive funds. The winners will get the money to use it for Junior Ranger camps, organizations of days such as The Reservation Day, Biodiversity Day, exhibitions and extra curricula activities targeting environment protection. The projects will be developed in 14 counties.
Following the past ten editions of Green Spaces program, developed between 2006-2015, Mol Romania and Fundatia pentru Parteneriat supported 424 projects with 4.83 million lei. The program included so far over 170.000 participants that got involved in green projects on over 430.000 sqm. Regarding the protected area arm of the program, Mol Romania sustained 169 projects in the past ten years.
