Romanians can ask for state money to refurbish their homes through ‘Casa Verde' programme

The Ministry of Environment, Waters and Forests released in early October the ‘Casa Verde' [Green House] programme, both for citizens and for legal entities, while the Financing Guide has been published in the Official Gazette, according to Mediafax. The financing files will be submitted during 10 to 24 October 2016. Through the ‘Casa Verde' programme, the citizens and legal entities can be funded by the Environment Fund Administration (AFM) to install, replace or supplement conventional heating systems with those using green energy sources. The budget for the entire country is 94 million RON (around 21 million Euro), of which 60 million RON (around 13.5 million Euro) are allocated for individuals and 34 million RON (around 7.5 million Euro) – for legal entities.
